Dory's a big 'cousin'

Well, I can't figure out why I have been having problems with some (all) of my pictures, but oh well... maybe this one will show up for me. Dory was allowed to hold Baby Ba last night, and was very excited! She did great with the new baby, and I think will be fine with the addition to our friend's family. :) This has me a bit relieved, as Ba has been a second mommy to her and I didn't know if she would easily want to share her Ba.

I can dress myself!

Or so she says.... as you can see she has put it on upside down. It is the preferred method for putting on a coat too. And diapers are only pulled halfway up.

Anyway....
John is baking bread and has now made two batches, of which both were wonderful. I told him he is now truly the breadwinner in this family. He didn't find it amusing...

Grandma Marcille is on her way back down for a visit and will be here through Christmas. Aunt Connie and Uncle Jack are driving down today with her. Dory has never met them, so I hope we see them before they leave!

And I have acomplished nearly nothing this week it seems. Well, I did bake 2 batches of cookies, made Peanut Butter Fudge, and a Ravioli Casserole that didn't kill anyone. Yet.

Dory keeps acting sick b/c her Daddy keeps trying to catch a cold. At this rate she will never get to see Baby Ba. I did get to visit for a few minutes yesterday though. It is hard to believe he is a week old today!!! I remember when Dory was a week old... I was a basketcase! Ba seems to have it a bit more together.

Oh, and aproximately one week until I can run a pregnancy test!!! Did I tell you we are trying for #2?

Introducing.... ME!!

So this is me and my duaghter Dorothy. We went to the Rocky Mountains this summer for a family reunion and this pic was taken while hiking... I know it is not an exciting intro.

Dory will be 2 in March, and my DH and I have reciently started trying for our 2nd child. Hopefully I will have news soon!! I am a Stay At Home Mom, and stay VERY busy with the things I do. I knit, make jewelry and sell Tupperware as well as some of the housework and playing with Dory. I am excited about this Blog being a place to chronicle the next pregnancy and the further growth of Dorothy. It has been some time since I have had a website, this seems ideal to me. I promise to try to keep it updated, but you never know with me... I do have a tendancy to hit new things and be very excited about them and then just peter out. So we will see! Happy Reading! 

Baby Ba is here!!!

Welcome to Adventures in Motherhood.... 'Baby Ba' has been born and is a boy!!! John Michael arrived yesterday morning and is happy and healthy. Mom and Dad are doing well, but very tired. Since Dory can not yet say John, she will be calling him 'Baby Ba'... I think it is cute.
