- Name: Jenny
- Location: The Carolinas, United States
Just another stay-at-home-mom who knits, crochets, beads, sews etc... in my spare time. (Not much of that.) I've started publishing patterns on Ravelry and with a few yarn companies. It's made for a great break from full time Mommy! I am passionate about natural childbirth and nutrition. At the moment, we are living Gluten Free for my son who is a Celiac. I have a BA in Religion and Philosophy & at the moment, homeschool the kids. Hum, shoulda' taken more Education classes.

Kinda' a Surprise
:) I love my husby. He's so good to me!
Last night was the (overdue) 30(1)st 'surprise' party. I say 'surprise' because I had to bring the ice and keys so he could get into his office and cake knife... lol. Also, Dory knew... and well, she's a great secret keeper, I tell you! All week long it was, "There is NO PARTY, Mom."
However, the scope was a surprise, who was a surprise, etc... and may I say, it was wonderful...
I had the BEST cake I have had since my wedding cake. Period. To boot, it was GLUTEN FREE. AMAZING. I made myself absolutely sick on the sugar. And then had more when we got home.
Anyway, I'm rambling - and a picture is worth a thousand words.

All Fun and Games... until...
After everyone else left the party, we still had fun. Pile 'o kids style. Until Dory decided she had enough, of course. Such a big fuss for a little bump. More bruised ego than anything. Jack and LJ (Monkey) were having a blast though!
Happy Birthday to Bailey, as well. It's why we were over there playing, not that we need any excuse.
Pinchable? Absolutely. Kissable too.
As you can see, she just loved wearing her new hat(insert Ravelry link, of course). LOL

Auntie's Birthday
What a cake!
Quick! Before the apartment burns down!
Whew... that was a close one. Thank you Dory and jack!:) We had a wonderful time. Ate cake.
Jack choked on a carrot. Threw up on the carpet in my mom's hand... she laughed about how that hadn't happened in about 25 years! 2 days in a row I panicked about him and food. That's it! he's *cut off*!! No more food for him. lol He's fine.

Professional Photos
Went, in the end, really well today. They had a very auspicious start though. Dory only smiled after the warning of an impending spanking. Made me so sad, she would not respond to any of the other offers. Oh well. I don't do this often anymore and we were already getting pretty late on the scheduled one for Jack.

wow, your children are beautiful. i bet you had to slather sun screen all over their fair skin during your beach vacation but it looks like it worked!! simply gorgeous photos.

Not one drop of sunscreen that week, actually. We use diet to help control skin damage. The lycopene in fresh tomatoes and blueberries works wonders. We also stay out of the sun for anytime longer than about 20 minutes from about 11am until approximately 4pm. It's amazing how few burns we get from that combo! (We had tons of blueberries and tomatoes while there.) If not eating right or out for more than 25-30 minutes during peak hours, then we use California Baby sunscreen. It's the best of a bad lot. I HATE the chemicals in sunscreen and seriously think they are bad news after the research I did. We are very careful about what we put on our skin.
